So part of my new promotion comes with a company demo, which is nice because this means I have to put way less miles on the AMGs and I sometimes get to play with fun things. For my first demo I got to take this.

2015 Challenger Scat Pack with proper 3 pedals.

Then I promptly drove it to Home Depot to pick up a toilet, because this is normal.

Anyways, ask me anything you want to know about the scat Pack and I will do my best to answer.

I will continue to do this if 1) y’all like this and 2) I get to keep saying y’all. Also when I get to take fun or interesting things.

How long do you get per demo car?

Is your muscle car loyalty with the Challenger? If not, which muscle car is your favorite and is this car good enough to make you make it your favorite of the muscle cars?

How is the ride quality? I rode in my Aunt’s 2015 V6, and was shocked at how uncomfortable it was, and this is coming from someone with a FiST.

It rides very much like a sports car. I would say it’s a bit stiffer than the Camaro / Mustang. But not so stiff its unbearable or truck like.

Yes. The scat Pack comes with an “active” exhaust and it makes very pretty noises. Which is good because the Alpine audio upgrade is crap.

Lol. The clutch is heavy for a modern car but fees great IMO. Surprisingly it holds traction very well.

I have owned several mustangs. Driven nearly every worth while model since the foxbody with the exception of the new body style. Haven’t driven many Camaros but my opinion on them is that they are for fan boys of transformers and have horrible blind spots.

The Challenger is huge, or at least feels huge. I feel like both the mustang and Camaro would kill the Challenger on a road course. That being said. I was very surprised at how responsive this 6.4L is, and is definitely a straight line performer out of the factory. I hope to drive V8 manual versions of the Camaro and mustang (latest versions) sooner than later.

One of the best sounding stock cars out right now. They really have figured out how to make the HEMI sound even more amazing. Stock they are louder than my 6.1 with a Corsa! Not fair.

I like everything about it except the transmission. It’s to notchy. I feel like quick shifts are virtually impossible.

I love the look the hood on the 392 gives the car so I would likely spring for a 392.

I also love the throwback colors like this green and the old plum crazy purple, but I don’t think they make those any longer. and manual transmission of course.

Interesting. I haven’t driven a new manual trans car, just the last one. Liked that. And if the trans is the same as in the Hellcat, trust me, it can be shifted quite fast. Went for a ride in one and dude was hustling it.
